Its like really close to death because ea does not give a shit about the game just about the money . And the studios all the vets are leaving.

A franchise doesn’t die until the games stop coming out. The franchise is just in a bad place right now.
People are still playing Battlefield 4 and a little bit of Battlefield 5. As long as the games have people playing them the franchise should be fine.
It can only show that BF2042 is bad at present, and the future is unpredictable. Maybe EA and dice start working hard, and the Battlefield series can indeed become better again. No matter what, this is always a good result.
Feeling sad
A game is only dead when no one plays it anymore. This occurs when the studio is shut down (Although this is not true if the game is played after the servers go offline, as in Mercenaries 2: World in Flames when Pandemic was closed, but people still play it.) When no one plays it anymore, it is considered dead.
I personally will never stop playing BFV, it's one of my favorite games of all time. A franchise dies when they stop making games.
People still play the original 1942. BF2's servers are full. 2142 and Bad Company 2 have pretty decent player base. 3, 4, 1 and 5 are thriving. The fact that 2042 is a piece of crap that both EA and the young unproved devs at DICE are responsible for, doesn't mean the franchise is dying. BF's community is extremely loyal and BF3, 4 and 1 are basically still better than almost every new FPS, they still have so much to offer.
Ea only cares about fifa and madden which is the same damn thing every year with no variation than the last one
Welp, if the franchise ain't dying, I feel like this wiki is tbh
What do you think?
