The Smith & Wesson Model 327 is an American revolver developed by Smith & Wesson in 2003, chambered in .357 Magnum or .38 Special. The Smith & Wesson Model 327 as a variant of the Smith & Wesson Model 627 with a scandium alloy frame and titanium cylinder and barrel shroud. The Model 327 differs from standard revolvers with an 8-round cylinder, compared to the standard 6 or 5-round cylinders.
The Model 327 underwent further variants in 2006, with a competition version of the revolver being created with a steel cylinder and barrel, dubbed the 'Model 327 TRR8.
Battlefield Hardline[]

The .357 RS is a revolver featured in Battlefield Hardline. It is a purchasable sidearm for the Law Enforcement Mechanic.
The .357 RS performs similarly to the .44 Magnum, but is less powerful at long range, gearing it more towards closer engagements. It does, however, possess the highest cylinder capacity out of all of the Mechanic's Revolvers at eight rounds, allowing the player to fight longer before having to reload the weapon.

Trivia[]
- The .357 RS was one of a handful of weapons present in Hardline's June beta files in an unfinished state, but could be equipped if the beta's files were modified to allow their use. Since PunkBuster was not used during the beta, the weapons could be used online in this fashion.[1]
- In this state, the weapon was named the RS357, and reused the .44 Magnum's sounds and animations from Battlefield 4.
