The 60mm Flak Pod provides the pod gunner of the EBAA Wildcat with an effective counter against air vehicles. The pod also proves dangerous against light vehicles. Its generous range comes with moderate muzzle velocity, perhaps second-quickest of the pods behind the Canister Weapon Pod. It also shares the canister pod's rate of fire.
Infantry caught within about 13 meters of an airburst take nearly half damage, even at the edge of the airburst.[1]

Trivia[]
- The flak shells unexpectedly trigger against a certain range of deployed gadgets, including Boris sentry and Irish's fortifications. It remains to be seen whether any open slot gadgets also cause this.[1]
- The shell is not defeated by the APS-36 Shootdown Sentry, though it isn't designed for the purpose (defeating mainly grenades and missiles). The APS-36 does trigger the flak's airburst.
- Dozer can apparently deflect flak shells, although splash damage is still triggered at Dozer's location.
