The Brügger & Thomet APC9 (Advanced Police Carbine) is a submachine gun produced by Brügger & Thomet from Switzerland. It can be used in 9×19mm, .40 S&W, 10mm Auto and .45 ACP cartridges. Taking feedback and experience from their another product, MP9, it was designed in 2000s and start produced in 2011.
Battlefield 2042[]

The AC9 is a weapon featured in Battlefield 2042, introduced in Eleventh Hour season. Player can unlock by reaching tier 10 in the Battle Pass and available by complete assignments including 30 kills with the DM7 from a distance of 25 meters or less and 15 kills with the PBX-45 in a round afterwards.
This weapon can be considered a compromise between K30 and MP9. AC9 has a lower firing rate compared to the K30 (1,200 RPM), but has lower recoil and higher damage (22 and 18); Compared to the MP9 (900 RPM), AC9 has a higher firing rate but lower damage at long distances (MP9 can maintain 22 damage within up to 50 meters).
Anyway, the result of this compromise is that AC9 has the fastest time to kill among base game submachine gun, which almost imperceptibly faster than PBX-45, as well as a fastest reload spped. Although PBX-45 is easier to operate, the advantage of high firing rate is that AC9 has higher fault tolerance.
