The AE-Defuser is a gadget issued to the Engineer kit in Battlefield 2142. It is used to defuse explosives, such as APMs, RDX Demopaks, and II-29 Motion Mines akin to the wrench featured in older installments. The gadget has a range of up to 10 meters, provided there is line-of-sight.

No points are awarded for defusing explosives.
