It was developed in the 1950s by Mikhail Kalashnikov, and adopted as the Soviet service rifle in 1959. Battlefield Vietnam
The AKMS had its first, and so far only appearance in Battlefield Vietnam. It is issued uniquely to the Viet Cong Assault Kit. The weapon has decent power and accuracy, however firing fully automatically is not recommended. Firing in 2 round bursts can take out any target from a medium distance. The weapon also has a quick reload time which can prove useful during desperate times. It is a direct equivalent in stats to the AK-47.
