Compared to its presence in Portal, the AKS-74u has an improved 650 RPM rate of fire, as it was classified as SMG in the base game. However, this value is still the lowest in its class, only the same as PP-2000. Due to the absence of kit restrictions on weapon usage in the base game, the AKS-74u is completely uncompetitive.
