AMX-10-RC IRL

The AMX-10RC in real life.

The AMX-10RC (RC stands for Roues-Canon, or wheeled gun) is a light reconnaissance vehicle built by GIAT. Initial work on the AMX-10RC began in 1970; production began in 1976, and the first production vehicle was delivered in 1981 to the 2nd Regiment de Hussards in Sourdun. The vehicle features a powerful GIAT 105 mm gun mounted in a welded aluminium turret. The turret also serves to house three crew members, while the driver sits in the front of the hull; the COTAC fire control system is provided for gun aiming. All six wheels are driven, and the AMX-10RC uses skid steering to turn the hull.

BF1 Trash Cut content
The subject of this article, AMX-10, has been cut from the final version of a Battlefield game.

"The French-produced AMX-10 is an amphibious mechanized infantry support vehicle equipped with a massive 105mm gun. Its speed and mobility make it useful in a variety of roles ranging from assaults to reconnaissance missions. Originally produced for the French Army in 1980, the AMX-10 has since entered service in the armies of Morocco and Qatar."

— Battlefield 2: Modern Combat Official Prima Guide

The AMX-10 was a vehicle that was cut from Battlefield 2: Modern Combat. It was meant to act similar to BK-1990 as a Self-Propelled Artillery vehicle for the MEC. The vehicle still received an entry in Modern Combat's Official Prima Guide as a singleplayer only vehicle, despite not appearing in game. The AMX-10 would have held three players: one driver/gunner and two passengers who would sit in the open hatches on the turret.
