Wikus could almost smell the ocean. Closing his eyes, he could see the Sea Point Promenade.
Lis snapped him back to reality, along with the whipping of the helo blades. "Must be nice to be home."
"Home is 700 kilometers away." he said dismissively, as he inspected the crate. "And all that awaits me there is a prison cell."
He caught the ocean air again. It calmed him, just like it used to. Maybe there was a way home.
