The Assault class is featured in Battlefield 2042. In the base game, Dozer, Mackay, Sundance and Zain are classified as Assault Specialists. In the Battlefield Portal, the Assault class is featured in the Battlefield 1942, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 3 collections. Within each collection, the class features updated character models and function in a similar manner to their original counterparts.

Battlefield 2042[]

"Eager to take on the frontline? With extra AR ammo and self-healing gear, the Assault class specializes in spearheading attacks. Specialists Mackay, Dozer, Sundance, and Zain are part of this aggressive Class and can be trusted to storm into objectives. The Assault is one of the four classes featured in the base game of Battlefield 2042. It consists of Dozer, Mackay, Sundance and Zain. Their weapon proficiency focuses on assault rifles where they receive 3 extra magazines of ammunition.

The Assault kit focuses on fighting infantry using C5 Explosives, Smoke Grenade Launcher, M18 Claymore and SPH Explosive Launcher, with gadgets to aid in survival like the Med Pen and IBA Armor Plate.

Battlefield Portal[]

Battlefield 1942[]

The Assault is available within the Battlefield 1942 collection. It features character models for the United States, United Kingdom and Germany. As with its original counterpart, the Assault features no unique functions or equipment, but is the most aggressive class.

A new addition, however, is the Heightened Senses Specialization which reveals nearby enemy soldiers on the minimap for squadmates. The Assault has access to assault rifles and light machine guns for medium engagements against infantry.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2[]

The Assault is available within the Bad Company 2 collection. It features character models for the United States and Russia. Functioning in a similar manner to its original counterpart, the Assault has access to the Ammo Box to resupply teammates, while the difference is that regardless of the primary weapon, the class is always able to equip C4.

For weapons, the Assault has access to assault rifles as well as several shared weapons. Additionally, it is able to utilize underbarrel grenade launchers to deal explosive damage to enemies and structures. Finally, the Assualt is permanently equipped with the Grenade Vest Specialization. This increases the Assault's carrying capacity of throwable grenades by one and underbarrel launcher ammo by double.

Battlefield 3[]

The Assault is available within the Battlefield 3 collection. It features character models for the United States and Russia. Functioning in a similar manner to its original counterpart, the Assault has access to the Medkit to heal teammates. For weapons, the Assault has access to assault rifles as well as several shared weapons. Additionally, it is able to utilize underbarrel grenade launchers to deal explosive damage to enemies and structures.

Finally, the Assualt is permanently equipped with the FRAG Specialization. This increases the Assault's carrying capacity of throwable grenades by one and underbarrel launcher ammo by double.
