The FN EVOLYS is a general purpose machine gun designed by FN Herstal. It can utilize both 5.56×45mm NATO and 7.62×51mm NATO cartridges, and is designed to be lighter than other LMGs such as the Minimi.[1]
Battlefield 2042[]
— In-game description
The Avancys is a weapon featured in Battlefield 2042, introduced in the Master of Arms season. Player can unlock the weapon by reaching tier 34 in the Battle Pass, and afterwards, players can unlock the weapon by getting 100 kills and assists with the LCMG and 40 kills with LMGs at a distance of 50 meters or more. Once the requirements are met, the Avancys is unlocked.
The Avancys is an LMG with closer performance to Assault Rifles than the others, having the second fastest rate of fire of the LMGs, after the PKP-BP. Combine this with decent mobility and the Avancys becomes a good competitor in close-medium range engagements. As with the other LMGs, the Avancys is capable of spewing large amounts of ammunition down-range, with attachments that can increase ammo capacity.
With extended mags, 200 rounds can be fed into the Avancys, allowing players to rack up dozens of kills without the need to reload. To make up for this, when reloading the weapon is inevitable, it takes a good while to feed another box into the gun. This is easily countered by simply taking cover when reloading. Another downside is the ADS speed, which is faster than its contemporaries, yet not something that should be relied on in close quarters combat.
With these statistics, the Avancys can be well-suited to close-medium range engagements, but players equipping this weapon will need to keep in mind that faster weapons, such as SMGs, can beat the gun's ADS speed.
When equipping the Avancys with Engineer specialists (Boris, Lis and Crawford), there will be less recoil when crouched or prone.
