Badges are an award system featured in Battlefield 2. They are awarded for completing specific tasks in a round and over the player's career in-game. Badges are divided into three tiers: Basic, Veteran, and Expert. While Basic Badges are awarded for completing objectives in a round, Veteran and Expert include career-wise achievements that require dedication in certain fields to complete them.

		Basic Command	The Basic Command Badge is awarded on the basis of proven skill in the area of command. Criteria: Command Rating: Satisfactory	40 Command Points in a Round
		Basic Engineer	The Basic Engineer Combat Badge is awarded to engineer personnel who have proven themselves during any period the unit was engaged in active combat. Criteria: Combat Rating: Satisfactory	5 Repair Points in a Round

		Basic Explosive Ordinance	The Basic Explosives Ordinance Badge is awarded to personnel who have proven themselves with explosive ordinance during any period the unit was engaged in active combat. 		Basic First Aid	The Basic First Aid Badge is awarded to medical personnel on the basis of proven skill in the area of field medicine. Criteria: Specialist Rating: Satisfactory	5 Heal Points in a Round
		Basic Ground Defense	The Basic Ground Defense Badge is awarded to personnel who have been exposed to enemy fire while performing their duties in a ground defense vehicle. Criteria: Combat Qualification: Satisfactory	5 Minutes in TOW or Mounted Machine Gun
