Badges (Battlefield 2142)

Badges are awards featured in Battlefield 2142, functioning in a similar manner to their counterpats in Battlefield 2. Instead of tiers, however, badges are categorized into Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Bronze badges award 20 bonus experience (excluding Bronze Commander badges and the Titan Destruction Badge, which award 40), Silver badges award 500 experience, and Gold badges award 1000 experience.

Northern Strike

The Battlefield 2142: Northern Strike Expansion added two new badges to the game: the Arctic Combat Badge and Vehicle Excellence Badge. All tiers of these badges do not award bonus experience, instead awarding one Unlock Point for the player to choose an unlock of their choice.

The badges differ aesthetically from badges in the base game by appearing covered in frost as well as having a snowflake on the upper right corner of the badge, traits shared with other awards and icons from the Northern Strike expansion.
