The Battlefield: Bad Company 2 FRAGS Public Service Announcement (Friends Really Against Grenade Spam) starring CC Sabathia, a professional baseball pitcher with the New York Yankees of Major League Baseball.

The PSA is a spoof of the controversial Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 PSA "FAGS" (Fight Against Grenade Spam) that featured Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Cole Hamels.

"Grenade spam affects more than 2,000,000 people worldwide every day. This very special public service message from star pitcher CC Sabathia, with the help of the caring scientists of DICE and Battlefield Bad Company 2, reveals the miracle cure."

Sabathia exits a HMMWV.

Sabathia: Hi, I'm C.C. Sabathia, star pitcher for a well known baseball team based in the New York metropolitan area. I'm here today to talk to you about an important problem affecting all of us - random grenades.

Explosion.

Sabathia turns towards Sweetwater, who is throwing hand grenades.

Sabathia: Sweetwater, what are you doing?

Sweetwater: Ooh, uh, hi, C.C. I figure if I chuck enough of these here hand bombs, I'm bound to get a kill or two.

Sabathia: I hate to break it to you man, but in Battlefield: Bad Company 2, grenade spam isn't gonna prove quite as effective as one might find in competing games of this particular genre. Not with destructible buildings, adrenaline-pumping weapons, and more vehicles than you can count.

Sweetwater turns towards camera, cutting off Sabathia.

Sweetwater: Hi, I'm Private Terrence Sweetwater of the 222nd Army Battalion, and I'm here today to talk to you about random baseball pitchers who talk to you about random grenades.

Sabathia turns away in annoyance.

Sweetwater: Now, let's not forget that these baseball pitchers have to work sometimes up to one day a week, throwing a little ball so hard that they get a twinge in their shoulder, and then they have to let people carry their bags for them, and let's not forget the horrible massages they have to endure, with tiny little ladies walking on their backs. But you can help. For the price of just a cup of coffee a day--

Sabathia cuts off Sweetwater by flying over railings in an AH-64 Apache.

Sweetwater: Aww, shit...now where did you get that?

Sabathia fires rockets at Sweetwater, killing him and destroying the HMMWV.

Sabathia: So remember everybody, keep away from random grenades, and stay safe, the C.C. way.

Sabathia flies off in the Apache.

Screen fades to text saying "Brought to you by: Friends Really Against Grenade Spam".

Music starts playing, signalling end of trailer.

Trivia[]

Sweetwater's line, "Aww, shit...now where did you get that?" may be referencing the fact that the AH-64 Apache isn't available on Arica Harbor, the setting of the PSA.
