Battlefield Heroes: Christmas 2012 is a themed update for Battlefield Heroes. The theme centers around Christmas. The update was released on December 1st, 2012, with daily content drops over the course of December. The update also featured a free 1000
code for all players.
Story[]
Over the course of the holiday season, scientists from both the Royal Army and National Army developed weapons that operated using frost and heat as opposed to conventional munitions, referred to as Operation Hot & Cold.

Advent Calendar[]

Much like the previous Christmas updates, an advent calendar was included for daily content drops for the duration of the event, starting on December 1st, 2012 and ending on December 25th, 2012.[1] In this update was the introduction of the Workbench, a method for players to customize their weapons, and a FreeCam feature, allowing users to create various machinima like the trailer videos.
Various items, including customization objects and emotes and discounts for weapons, were re-released for the advent calendar, similar to previous events. The reward on Day 25 was slated to occur, but did not actually occur at the time.

Other additions[]
At the start of the calendar, the CaptainShop's Holiday Rarities were released, featuring an assortment of items from both teams.[2] Also released for the update were Frozen Supplies, featuring rare items from the snowgear and mountain climbing sets.[3]
After the advent calendar ended, content continued to be dropped, including four cosmetic sets, two releasing on December 26th, 2012 and two releasing on December 28th, 2012, and two weapons on December 27th, 2012.
