Battlefield Premium is a subscription service for the Battlefield Series that offers members exclusive content.

Battlefield Heroes[]

BFH Premium

Premium is available in Battlefield Heroes. Once time of subscription runs out, all premium features will be disabled, though players will be not required to pay again.

  • 90 Days, 16,999 Funds + 18 Keys
  • 180 Days, 24,999 Funds + 36 Keys

Premium Store[]

The Premium store is an official website section which only Premium members can use. The store offers content exclusive to Premium members such as Customization, weapons, and other content. The store also offers discounts on normal items in the game.

Battlefield 3[]

Premium became available for Battlefield 3 on June 4, 2012 for a one-time cost of US$49.99/£39.99/€49.99/AU$49.99. A Premium Edition for the game was later revealed at Gamescom 2012 and was released on September 11, 2012.

Controversy[]

In Australia, the price for the service originally cost AU$49.99 across all platforms. When people started to purchase it, they noticed that the prices were AU$66 for the Xbox 360 and AU$79.95 for the PS3. Due to a massive number of complaints, the prices were lowered. However, only the PS3 received any benefits, and the price on the PS3 was reduced to AU$64.95. PS3 owners were also refunded AU$14.95.

Battlefield 4[]

Premium is available in Battlefield 4. It was available at launch and could also be pre-ordered. Members gain exclusive camos, weapons, as well as early access to expansion packs. It will once again have a one-time cost US$49.99/£39.99/€49.99/AU$49.99. Premium also awards with player with exclusive Dog Tags and an exclusive Knife, called the Carbon Fiber Knife.

It was confirmed in a post from the Battlefield Blog that Premium memberships can transfer from the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions, respectively.[1]

    • Allows players who do not own Premium play expansion pack maps if a member of their party owns Premium
    • Non-Premium players will not be awarded XP for playing on expansion maps
    • XP earned will be saved and awarded to Non-Premium members once Premium Pass or the respective expansion has been purchased
    • Weapons, gadgets, and Vehicles exclusive to expansions will be unusable by Non-Premium owners
    • Progress for expansion exclusive medals and Codex Entries will not be tracked for Non-Premium members.

Battlefield 2042[]

BF2042 Premium Battle Pass

In Battlefield 2042, Premium refers to the paid track of the Battle Pass which features exclusive customization items. The Premium Battle Pass can be purchased separately or is available for owners of the Year 1 Pass, Gold Edition and Ultimate Edition of the game. Premium items must still be unlocked by leveling up the Battle Pass through gameplay. If active, the Premium logo will be displayed in the upper right of the screen.

  • Battlefield 3: Premium was first revealed by error due to an update for the PlayStation Store on May 30, 2012.
  • Battlefield 1: Premium Pass was released for free to all players between September 11 to September 18, 2018[4] and September 25 to October 2, 2018[5][6] as part of the Road To Battlefield V promotion. Battlefield 4: Premium was also released for free on PC.
  • Battlefield 1: Premium Pass was released for free to all players between October 24 to October 31, 2018[7] as part of the Road To Battlefield V promotion.
