Week 10: Mercury (May 30, 2019 - June 6, 2019)[]
"On May 20th, 1941 shortly after German forces began an invasion of mainland Greece the Battle of Crete began. The British garrison established on the island would attempt to repel the invaders as they attacked the strategic location."
— In-game description
Image | Name | Description | Criteria | Reward |
Mercury | The German war machine appeared unstoppable. While Greece was able to fend off the initial Italian offensive it stood little chance against the combined Axis armies. The British troops would rally with the Greek and ANZAC garrisons of Crete in hopes of defending the island. |
| |
Tables Turned | Even though you are isolated on the ground, help is not far away if you find the right equipment. Reinforcement flares can call in vehicle and supply drops or even heavy artillery support. |
| |
Comet | The largest German battlegroup attacked from the West. Aptly named 'Comet' the group quickly secured their objectives and established a foothold. |
| |
Mars | The German battle group codenamed 'Mars' was to seize the airfield near the town of Rethymno. It's capture was significant to securing the island. Allied forces as well as Cretan police prepared a defence in hopes of preventing a German airlift. |
| |
Orion | While the largest German battlegroup attacked from the West a smaller group, codenamed 'Orion' entered from the East. Allied troops were well established in the town of Heraklion and were prepared to face the German assault. |
| |
Maleme | The town of Maleme fell in the first day of the battle to overwhelming German airborne troops. The Royal Navy held off Axis attempts at landing reinforcements by sea, but in doing so suffered heavy casualties from the Luftwaffe. ANZAC counter attacks on Maleme were beaten back by Fallschrimjäger, and they eventually withdrew to the east. |
| |
Light but Heavy | Following an Allied retreat to the East, the Axis forces landed armored units and other vehicles to support the ensuing pursuit. The island of Crete was all but lost. |
| |
Rethymno | Exhausted and facing overwhelming German reinforcement the ANZAC garrison surrendered after a week of continued fighting. A lucky few evaded capture with the help of Cretan civilians and eventually escaped to Egypt. |
| |
Heraklion | The defenders held off the German attack at Heraklion, but as western Crete fell to the Axis armies the Allied troops were outflanked and forced to withdraw South. While constantly beset by Luftwaffe raids, numerous ANZAC attempts to slow the German pursuit were fought to safeguard the Allied evacuation to Egypt. |
| |
Fallschirmjägerwaffen | The German paratroopers, the Fallschirmjäger were the pride of the Axis military. While equipped primarily with standard Kar98 rifles early in the war, they were quickly prioritized and well supplied with automatic weaponry. |
| ||
Pallas | Despite every effort the island of Crete was under Axis occupation by the end of May 1941. With no further Allied resistance the German armies could be directed elsewhere. |
| |
ANZAC Arsenal | The British war effort could not manufacture arms quick enough to meet the demand of its army. Submachine guns such as the M1928A1 Thompson were imported from America to supplement the arsenal of Enfield rifles and Bren guns. |
| |
AKE! AKE! | The New Zealand Army 28th Battalion also known as the Māori Battalion was comprised entirely of volunteer Māori troops. Their motto, "Ake! Ake! Kia Kaha!" translates into, "Upwards! — In-game description
Image | Name | Description | Criteria | Reward |
Pack Hunters | Stick together and fight as one. Every kill counts for every member of the squad. |
| |
Head Shot | If something is worth doing it is worth doing well. |
| |
Kill it with Fire | Incendiary grenades can ignite the ground on which they land causing enemies to be set on fire if they cross into it. As well the flamethrower equipped Churchill Corcodile has a similar effect. |
| |
Brass Flow | Resupplying a teammate who is low on ammunition will earn a greater reward than if they are just missing one magazine. If a teammate uses an ammo crate that you deployed it will also resupply one of their gadgets. |
| |
Live | The first key to victory in Firestorm is to not die. |
| |
Serial Scrounger | Sulis strongboxes can be found around most structures in Halvøy. They will always contain something useful, and on occasion you will find rare equipment. |
| |
Up Close and Personal | Use every weapon available, the most effective weapons may not be the most practical in every situation. |
| |
One for All | Give and take is a healthy part of any relationship. |
| |
Let Die | At some point you will need to fight to be the last one standing in Firestorm. Be sure to prioritize scavenging the best equipment whilst surviving. |
| |
Outside Influence | Calling in reinforcements can turn even the worst situation into one that you can survive. |
| |
On the Prowl | Walk, don't run, sometimes it pays to take it slow. Stay crouched for a steadier aim and softer footsteps, giving you a small advantage in any fight you find yourself in. |
| |
A Game of Numbers | A bullet for every enemy. A bandage for every comrade. |
Week 12: For the Cause (June 13, 2019 - June 20, 2019)[]
"Spread the word and find new recruits in the Outpost game mode. Secure and build objectives to ensure your team assembles enough soldiers to endure through the fight."
— In-game description
Image | Name | Description | Criteria | Reward |
Outpost | Outpost is a race to construct and defend radio tower objectives in order to acquire the assigned number of recruits. |
| |
Heads Up | In Firestorm use reinforcement flare guns to call in powerful airstrikes. They can be found in SULIS crates, safes, and resupply points around Halvøy as well as in resupply drops. |
| |
A Hill to Die on | In Outpost your team gains recruits by controlling radio tower objectives. Defending or securing the area around these objectives is vital to success. |
| |
Radio Installer | Construct the radio tower objectives by using the fortification tool. Same as other fortifications the Support Class can build or repair these objectives more quickly than others. |
| |
Audiophile | Undamaged friendly radio tower objectives can be upgraded using the fortification tool. Upgraded objectives give bonus requisition points and award recruits more quickly. |
| |
Radio Star | Staying near friendly radio tower objectives awards bonus requisition points to your squad. Having more squad members in the same objective area increases this bonus. Your squad can use these requisition points to call in V1 rockets earlier in the round. |
| |
Lead Farmer | There are many fortification opportunities around radio tower objectives. These fortifications can provide firing positions or locations to deploy a machine gun bipod. |
| |
Luddite | Objectives can be destroyed by planting a bomb at their foundation or by using other forms of explosives such as artillery. Defenders can defuse these bombs once they have been planted if they reach them in time. |
| |
Track Record | Team member deaths do not count against the number of recruits gained by controlling the objectives. Keeping these objectives from being destroyed is the only thing that matters. |
| |
B-Team | Simply killing the enemy will not win a round of Outpost, but it does help. |
| |
Zero Sum Game | You cannot spawn at radio tower objectives. Staying alive and reviving teammates in Outpost will ensure they are not forced to spawn back at the HQ. |
| |
Avanti! | The MAB 38 was an excellent sub machine gun, and was used by most Axis powers to varying extents. Put it to good use, forwards and have at them! |
