Doc.Richtofen

Section 1

Nominator's Opening Statement: In a few sentences, summarise your views on what the role of an administrator is and why you think you are suitable. This section should be completed by the nominator, if you are nominating somebody else, you should complete this section about the editor you are nominating, and the nominee should briefly state that they agree.

As you may have noticed, I'd like to suggest Doc.Richtofen as an administrator, for his respectful conduct, good attention towards the wiki, the fact that he's an administrator on the Call of Duty Wiki and we all around need more admins. - SSD 天皇陛下萬歳! 20:06, April 19, 2010 (UTC)
I accept the nomination. Richtofen Doc. Richtofen 20:46, April 19, 2010 (UTC)

Section 2

Please answer the following questions honestly and as fully as you can in the space provided. This section should only be completed by the nominee.

1) Why do you think you should be made an admin and how would you use the extra responsibilities and tools?

A: The answer to this question lies in SSD's opening paragraph.

2) How often do you visit and how often do you edit? Do you anticipate your activity levels changing in the immediate future? When you visit, what do you typically do (eg. edit, read, check the forums/blogs, check recent changes, upload images)?

A: I am on this wiki every day except for incoviences (Holidays etc..), I edit everyday. When I am here, I do a mixture of: Editing the Articles, Checking through blogs and looking over forum debates and adding my opinion when necessary.

3) Which pages do you mainly edit (eg. Articles, Forums, Blogs, Templates, Talks, Images, User)? If you were made an admin, would this change?

A:What I mainly edit is mixture, although I'd say editing the articles. If I were to become admin, it would become even more shared out.

Section 2

Please answer the following questions honestly and as fully as you can in the space provided. This section should only be completed by the nominee.

1) Why do you think you should be made an admin and how would you use the extra responsibilities and tools?

A: Well, seeing as I'm a regular user, I make plenty of edits and own multiple Battlefield games and I think I make responsible choices, I think I'd be a good admin. I'd use my new 'powers' for the good of the wiki, but, naturally, making a consensus with the other admins and /or community.

2) How often do you visit and how often do you edit? Do you anticipate your activity levels changing in the immediate future? When you visit, what do you typically do (eg. edit, read, check the forums/blogs, check recent changes, upload images)?

A: I visit the wiki daily and make sure that any new edits are done well and I do my own fair share of edits daily. I do not see my activities with the wiki changing soon. I check a bit of everything, but essentially articles.

3) Which pages do you mainly edit (eg. Articles, Forums, Blogs, Templates, Talks, Images, User)? If you were made an admin, would this change?

A:I mainly edit articles, but I frequent blogs and forums occasionally. I often talk with other users. I would not see this change if I were to become admin, but I would take more time to check things out with users.

This section should be completed by the nominator, if you are nominating somebody else, you should complete this section about the editor you are nominating, and the nominee should briefly state that they agree.

I would like to be an administrator because I edit/patrol recent changes on a daily basis, and try to avoid being involved in flame wars and the like. I also watch nearly all of the articles on this wiki, and look out for any vandals that try to sneak past and cause trouble. --Anim-care-package emblem

Section 2

Please answer the following questions honestly and as fully as you can in the space provided. This section should only be completed by the nominee.

1) Why do you think you should be made an admin and how would you use the extra responsibilities and tools?

A: I believe that I should be an admin because I believe in responsible behaviour, good attutudes, and I would use the powers available to restrain any vandals that do cause trouble, and protect the common

2) How often do you visit and how often do you edit? Do you anticipate your activity levels changing in the immediate future? When you visit, what do you typically do (eg. edit, read, check the forums/blogs, check recent changes, upload images)?

A: I visit the wiki every day, and mostly check recent changes, and edit any that i would consider a negative improvement on the article's quality. My activity levels wouldn't change much, as due to school times I am only limited to certain times of the day, but a general improvement in activity levels would be seen in holidays and at weekends.

3) Which pages do you mainly edit (eg. Articles, Forums, Blogs, Templates, Talks, Images, User)? If you were made an admin, would this change?

A: I mainly edit articles, but when I see a blog/forum that looks interesting, I do have a look and make comments (as you do). If made an admin, I would take a lot more time looking at Forums and Blogs, and identify any problematic Forum posts/blog comments.

Comment - Sounds like your the right sort of material. Please don't take this personally, but I'm not sure we still need many more admins, but if we did, you'd be a foremost choice. I'll leave it up to the community this time - Bondpedia (Talk) 17:22, May 4, 2010 (UTC)
Comment - No offence taken Anim-care-package emblem HeatedPeteTalk 17:25, May 4, 2010 (UTC)
Oppose - Well, I don't neglect your usefulness on this wiki, because you haven't done anything wrong and your edits are highly respectable, but the amount of attention you put towards the wiki... is questionable. I mean, you've been active for alomst 2 months, but only have 102 edits. That's 1-2 edits a day. Although you claim to visit everyday, it doesn't show... I'm afraid I will have to oppose. SSD 天皇陛下萬歳! 20:04, May 4, 2010 (UTC)
Comment - In all fairness, most of the early edits I did were creating the Single Player campaign pages for BC2, and when I made them I did most of what there is now in one big edit. Also, i only have one Battlefield game, so can only really edit certain parts of the wiki. Anim-care-package emblem

HeatedPeteTalk 05:56, May 5, 2010 (UTC)

Strong Oppose - Way too small of an edit count. Not even 130 edits? Sorry, but there is no way you should be an admin until you gather more edits. A majority of them may be mainspace edits, but you need a huge amount of them if you want to be admin material. Sactage Talk 20:02, May 5, 2010 (UTC)
Comment - well, you only have 27 edits here, and also there is a thing called GCSES to contend with next week. Anim-care-package emblem

HeatedPeteTalk 20:21, May 5, 2010 (UTC)

Comment - I may have a small number of edits, but I'm not the one running for admin here, am I? Sactage Talk 20:26, May 5, 2010 (UTC)
Heatedpete, that didn't go down well, as the below shows. Please don't be arguing, I've not got the most stress free life myself currently - Bondpedia (Talk) 20:42, May 5, 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, i get ya. really under pressure right now, and am actually considering shelving this RfA to get some pressure of of my already creakin' back. And please, call me pete Anim-care-package emblem

Not Yet/Oppose- To small of an edit count, not to mention you kind of smarted off to Sactage. In a month or two, I'll change to nuetral or oppose to see how you go. SergantPeter Griffen BoyRadio Operator AwardRibbon

As many of you may, sadly know, there has been a spike of vandals to this wiki. Most likely due to the release of BFBC2. I would like permission to be an administrator on this site, as I edit daily, and I enjoy busting vandals. I sadly did impersonate a moderator, for the good of the wiki. A vandal was vandalizing, and I needed to end it, so I threatened to ban him. I am sorry to anyone who is angry at my impersonation of a moderator, but I assure you, I would never DREAM of abusing my powers or using them as a threat to win a battle. In addition, I am a heavy editor at multiple other wikis, such as the CoD wiki! I think I could be a valueable asset to this beautifully made wiki by becoming a moderator. Thank you for your time! Oppose - I'd have to agree. Nothing personal, but maybe wait a month or two, when you've been here longer and got a bigger edit count. As for impersonating an admin, I can't say as I'm bothered - Bondpedia (Talk) 20:22, May 25, 2010 (UTC)

Oppose - Yeah, the 44 total edits, and only 34% of it mainspace, and the fact that you've only been here for about a week locks my vote to oppose. SSD 天皇陛下萬歳! 20:29, May 25, 2010 (UTC)

Oppose - I agree. 44 edits isn't enough. But, in light of your opening statement, we should create a 'Vandal Patrol' of non-admins that find vandals and give them warnings. --Armor specHeatedPeteTalkHow Many? 08:32, May 26, 2010 (UTC)

Well, this is my second go at an RfA. Having quintupled my edit count since then, I believe that the time is right for a second go. I beleive that I would be a good, dedicated wiki administrator, as I try to be active every day that I'm at home, sometimes even editing while at shcool in lunch breaks! I also believe that with extended school breaks and lots of study leave in Year 11 of school, I could be able to do more as an administrator while not compromising my GCSEs. Finally, I believe that abusing available powers is wrong, so the powers granted as a admin wouldn't be abused by oneself. --Armor specHeatedPeteTalkHow Many? 13:05, May 28, 2010 (UTC)

Section 2

Please answer the following questions honestly and as fully as you can in the space provided. This section should only be completed by the nominee.

1) Why do you think you should be made an admin and how would you use the extra responsibilities and tools?

A: I beleive that I would be a good admin, as I'm an experienced editor on a multitude of wikis, and have worked well with the users on the wiki alongside the members of the BATF (and other related operations) to improve the community's tool for help and information. I have also worked closely with admins, so I've seen the work that the admins do.
I would only ever use my powers for the good of the wiki (unless my sister manages to hack my computer again) and if I believe that any of my actions are not for the good of the wiki, I would seek to reverse it ASAP, or seek advice from other admins/beureucrats. (excuse my spelling, i'm worse than Bondpedia!)

2) How often do you visit and how often do you edit? Do you anticipate your activity levels changing in the immediate future? When you visit, what do you typically do (eg. edit, read, check the forums/blogs, check recent changes, upload images)?

A: I visit the wiki every day, in the mornings before school, after school and in the evenings. I edit almost daily, mostly to mainspace articles but also to blogs and my userpages, adding to the community spirit that makes wikis great. I predict that my activity would increase as an admin, and that my editing trend wouldn't change on the whole, but I would also check the blogs for any flame wars and problems that could arise. I would also start taking looks at files, finding any images uploaded without the neccessary copyrighting and licensing.

3) Which pages do you mainly edit (eg. Articles, Forums, Blogs, Templates, Talks, Images, User)? If you were made an admin, would this change?

A:I maily edit mainspace articles, but I also take a look at blogs and edit my Userpages. I also edit templates sometimes, and have created the wiki's userbox template. On the whole, this wouldn't change as an admin, but I would start to check files and older articles more, using what I have at my disposal to add to the wiki.

  • Overall, support. You seem a dedicated, responsible user. At the last RfA, your edit count was the major factor, but I think that along with improving that, you've become an asset to the team. But be aware, I did my GCSE's last year and my year 12 AS's this year, so I know it can be tough, and getting tougher, to edit and revise, work etc. What everyone else says is up to them, but I think you'd be a valued admin - Bondpedia (Talk) 13:26, May 28, 2010 (UTC)
