Black Eagle Tank

The Black Eagle Tank was a presumed prototype MBT (Main Battle Tank) produced in the Russian Federation. It was thought to have been developed by the KBTM design bureau in Omsk in the late 1990s. The Black Eagle appears in Battlefield: Bad Company.

The Black Eagle in Battlefield: Bad Company

In Battlefield: Bad Company's singleplayer, the Black Eagle appears only during the final mission, Ghost Town. It is often seen being used by MEC soldiers with a desert camouflage, and a few can be found and used by the players. The Legionnaire Mercenaries also use Black Eagles with a black matte finish. These are generally more dangerous and harder to destroy, though a single shot from a Laser Designator will still destroy it.

In multiplayer, the Black Eagle is Middle Eastern Coalition's Main Battle Tank and is the counterpart of the American M1A2 Abrams and the Russian T-90. It appears to be slightly smaller than the other tanks, which makes it a somewhat harder target to hit, though this is barely much of a difference.

Trivia

  • In Ghost Town, the Black Eagle MBTs have 2 paint jobs: one is a desert camo pattern, the other with a matte black paintjob. The reason for this is probably because the black paintjob would indicate that tank would belong to the Legionnaires.
