A Blowtorch is a general purpose tool used to diffuse a flame to apply heat upon an object. It is often used
for repairs to a vehicle or structure.
Battlefield Vietnam
In Battlefield Vietnam, the Blowtorch is issued as an option to the Engineer kit of any American and South Vietnamese faction. The blowtorch is the opposite of the wrench, as the blowtorch inflicts damage to vehicles rather than renew its health. It is dangerous to use to destroy a vehicle, such as a tank, as the target will explode. It is recommended to only use the blowtorch to almost destroy a vehicle, and then finish it off with C4, which is also issued to the Engineer.

Battlefield 2: Modern Combat
In Battlefield 2: Modern Combat, the blowtorch is issued to the Engineer kit and acts as a repair tool. It differs from typical repair tools of the series in that it requires ammo (fuel) to function, and must be resupplied from an ammo crate or a new Engineer kit eventually if it used enough in a single life.
