Three variants of C4 are featured in Battlefield 2042. The variants from two previous games retain their characteristics from their original games, such as distance thrown, capacity, and damage model.

C5 Explosive (Battlefield 2042)

C5 Explosive is a gadget featured in Battlefield 2042. The gadget functions in a similar manner to past installments, allowing players to throw sticky charges and detonate them remotely. Compared to previous entries in the series C5 may be thrown much further, Allowing some creative use of it.

C5 can be applied to many vehicles, including the OV-P Recon Drone, but not the Ranger drone.
