In Battlefield 2: Modern Combat, C4 Explosive is issued to the Special Ops kit and functions in a similar manner to its Battlefield 2 counterpart. Due to the absence of Commander Resources in Modern Combat, C4 is chiefly used against hostile ground vehicles and to set traps for groups of infantry. It has a large explosion radius, however, and can inadvertently lead to suicides and team-kills if the user is not vigilant as to when they detonate their explosives.
