Features related to command structures in the Battlefield series.
In every organization, there is a command or management structure that makes decisions and plans, and subordinates who carry out orders that fulfill these decisions. The concept of command predates the existence of civilization, for example in the way a parent commands a child.
Since Battlefield 2 the existence of an in-game command structure has set the series apart from other team-based games. The command structure in Battlefield games lightly mimics that of the real world militaries, where certain individuals are given greater responsibility for the team's success, and where the protection or elimination of these key individuals can change the course of a battle.
