Shotguns

Shotguns are weapons designed for primarily close quarters and shoot out many small pellets generally, such as buckshot, but can use different ammo types such as slug rounds which are simply one large bullet.

Shotguns can range from pump action to fully automatic in firing and are very deadly in close quarters when used with buckshot or a similar type of ammo in which many pellets are spread out.

Shotguns also feature alternative ammo types in Battlefield games, commonly slugs and buckshot, but with more exotic ones in some games such as explosive rounds.
