In Battlefield 3, CIA agents Gordon and Whistler are responsible for retrieving information from United States Marine Henry Blackburn about the nuclear threats posed by the People's Liberation and Resistance and the Russian Federation.

In Battlefield 4, the CIA is conducting fieldwork in order to discover the intentions of Admiral Chang Wei and to learn more about his connection with Russia. Agent Whistler, now revealed to be Kovic, conducts operations with Tombstone Squad in order to achieve these objectives.
Battlefield 4: Countdown to War[]
In Battlefield 4: Countdown to War, the CIA sends Agent Kovic with a section of United States Marines to the Sino-Korean border to extract HVI Highbeam, who goes on to reveal planned coup.
