An emergency brake ("E-brake") or parking brake is a vehicle device that provides a driver with a means of stopping the vehicle should the main brake system fail, or to prevent the vehicle from rolling while parked and unattended.
The emergency brake can be used for a handbrake turn, a controlled slide that allows a fast vehicle to perform a tight turn at higher speed and with full throttle, or to quickly spin a vehicle in a confined space. The maneuver typically requires an engine capable of producing high torque, on a vehicle with sufficient power-to-weight ratio.
Battlefield Hardline[]
In Battlefield Hardline, E-brakes are standard on almost all ground vehicles, with the notable exception of the Fuel Tanker. Vehicles may also perform maneuvers such as "donuts", though utility in combat is questionable.
Battlefield 2042[]
In Battlefield 2042, the LATV4 Recon and 4×4 Utility can use their emergency brake for special maneuvers.
