Escalation is a large-scale gamemode featured in Battlefield 6.

Overview[]

"Hold and remove more objectives than the enemy in order to conquer the area. The first team to take three territories claims victory."

— In-game description

In Escalation, a total of seven capture objectives are spread throughout the map for teams to fight over and control. The objectives range from point A to point G. In every round of Escalation, the team who has captured the most objectives will start earning progress towards a point, which depending on the team who won the point, will result in the furthest objective being removed from gameplay, the Deployment for the team and the map boundary moving further inward, and both teams' progress to be reset. Kills and deaths do not influence the progress bar, and the team who does not have a majority of the objectives cannot win the round. After the first point of either team, points A or G will be removed. After the second point of either team, points B or F will be removed. Points C, D and E will never be removed and remain static throughout the entire game.

If the match is a stalemate, and objectives have not changed hands after a certain amount of time[unknown], the progress bars on both teams will begin to rise at the same rate until a point the stalemate is broken or a team has earned a point. If objectives are continuously captured but the number of captured objectives remains the same, the round's point progress can be effectively "stalled" until the stalemate is broken.

Unlike standard Conquest, vehicles are restricted at the start of the round depending on the map. As the game progresses, access to Infantry Fighting Vehicles, Main Battle Tanks, Mobile Anti-Air, Transport Helicopters, Attack Helicopters, Attack Jets and Fighter Jets will occur. More vehicles are able to be spawned in Escalation compared to Conquest.
