The Farquhar-Hill rifle in reality.
The Farquhar-Hill rifle, a British design by Moubray G. Farquhar and Arthur H. Hill, was one of the first automatic rifles designed in the early 20th century.[1]
Battlefield 1[]
- This item has a Codex entry: Farquhar-Hill
— In-game description
The Farquhar-Hill is a weapon that was introduced in Battlefield 1: Turning Tides expansion for the Medic class.[2] It features a high fire rate and a large magazine, but has a high recoil and poor accuracy, especially at longer ranges. At close to medium distances, the rifle is a three-shot kill, however at long range it deteriorates to a four-shot kill. When engaging targets at long ranges, it is more efficient to fire slowly to retain accuracy and lower the weapon's bullet spread.
There are two variants of the Farquhar-Hill: Storm and Optical.
Storm[]
The Farquhar-Hill Storm is equipped with a foregrip and has a reduced recoil pattern.
Optical[]
The Farquhar-Hill Optical is equipped with a foregrip and a lens sight, offering improved aimed accuracy.

Trivia[]
- The unlock conditions for the Farquhar-Hill Optical requires the player to first unlock the Farquhar-Hill Storm. This makes it unique for that the player needs to unlock and successfully use one of the variants of it to unlock the other; the Farquhar-Hill, M1917 MG, RSC SMG, Howell Automatic, and lMG 08/18 are the only weapons in Battlefield 1 with the case being so.
