Field Manuals are collectibles featured in the singleplayer campaign of Battlefield 1. A total of sixty-six manuals are available for collection across five missions in the campaign. Once found, the player must open the box containing the manual and pick it up in order for the manual to be counted as collected.
Upon completing a mission and obtaining all manuals and Codex Entries within it, a special weapon or vehicle skin will be unlocked for use in multiplayer.
The second mission in the singleplayer campaign, Through Mud and Blood, features a total of twenty Field Manuals spread across all four chapters.
Over The Top[]

Located on the way to the first artillery objective, after fixing the tank with a Repair Tool for the first time. It can be found up the hill to the right of the first supply station, in the rubble.

Located behind the church at the east side. It can be found by the corner of the outer wall beside a big green gear.
