Cadillac Gage V-300 USA 04

An LAV-300 in real life, armed with the M242 Bushmaster and an M60 for the gunner.

The LAV-300 is a 6x6 wheeled amphibious armored personnel carrier manufactured by Textron Marine & Land Systems, formerly Cadillac Gage. The LAV-300 is armed with either a 90mm Cockrill Mk 3 cannon or a 25mm M242 Bushmaster with a coaxial M240C, as well as atop mounted secondary gunner with a M240B or M2 Browning machine gun.

A number of other variants also exist, mounted with an internal 81mm or 120mm mortar, a BGM-71 TOW launcher, or even the M163 VADS. The vehicle has a crew of three and can hold up to nine fully armed soldiers in the rear, making it a decent, but small, troop carrier. It is currently used in limited service in the United States Marine Corps, with its main user being the Philippine Marine Corps.

Battlefield 2: Modern Combat[]

In Battlefield 2: Modern Combat, the LAV-300 appears only on the map Dammage. Like the BK-1990 in singleplayer, the LAV-300 is amphibious. This can be used to great potential on Dammage as much of the map is flooded.

The vehicle's M242 Bushmaster and gunner allow it to be a versatile platform on land and in the water to capture control points and take care of enemy land vehicles, or enemy patrol boats moving about the map.
