"In a state-of-the art metropolis in South Korea, zipline between skyscrapers and fight among the plazas surrounding the city's iconic data center."

Official Battlefield website

Kaleidoscope is a map featured in Battlefield 2042. It was first seen in the Battlefield 2042 Official Reveal Trailer (ft. 2WEI). This is the smallest map at launch of Battlefield 2042.[1]

The map received a major improvement as part of Season 1 in Update 1.2 (Season 1).

Conquest[]

"The US have a vested interest in this data center in Songdo, South Korea. We believe a cyber attack from this location is imminent, and we are out of diplomatic options. You must secure the facility and the surrounding areas. If the Americans attempt to hold territory, push them out. We're trusting you to do this. Fight well."

— Russian Briefing

"We've got an emergency: Russian troops are moving to secure a data center in Songdo, South Korea. You don't want to know what's on those servers, but they're vital to American operations in this region. Other allied task forces are on their way. You need to coordinate efforts and secure the targets. Get ready to move."

"Songdo, South Korea - which our intelligence has revealed to be THE offshore center of US surveillance. As the world looks on and complains, Russia acts. US troops are already on site. Your job is to pry each objective from their control. We aren't equipped for a prolonged battle so today's victory will come from striking decisively. Out."

— Russian Briefing

"We're sending you in to protect a data center in Songdo, South Korea. It's key to our operations in the area. But today it's more than that. Today you are holding this sovereign territory against an aggressive enemy force. Russian troops are moving in. You must defend the site. Bleed out their resources before they can push us out. We're counting on you."

— American Briefing

Sector 1: Songdo Grand Park[]

The first sector starts as the Russian forces begin an assault on the Songdo Grand Park (Sector B in Conquest 128). They are given a multitude of vehicles to aid in their assault, including 3 light transports (LATV4 Recon and LCAA Hovercraft), 1 armored transport (MAV and M5C Bolte), 1 heavy armor vehicle (T28 and EMKV90-TOR) and one air transport (Mi-240 Super Hind). The Americans have to defend the Songdo Grand Park, which has 2 flags in the sector. One at the Forward Operating Base and another at the park's center.

Sector 2: Daesong Datacenter[]

The second sector begins as the Russian forces continue their assault to the Daesong Datacenter (Sector C in Conquest 128 and Sector B in Conquest 64). They keep the same vehicles as they did when their assault started. The Americans have to defend the Datacenter which is the only flag in the sector.

Sector 3: High-Rise Buildings[]

The third and last sector commences as the Russian forces clear the Datacenter and begin venturing to the High-Rise Buildings (Sector E in Conquest 128 and Sector C in Conquest 64). They keep the same amount of vehicles and same vehicles overall. The Americans have to defend the last 2 flags in the sector. One is at the Kaleidoscope Tower and the other is at the Daesong Tower.
