The M-46 in real life

The M-46, formally 130mm towed field gun M1954, is a 130mm artillery piece manufactured by the Soviet Union during the mid-20th century. The length of the field gun is 11.73 meters and has an effective firing range of 23 miles. Russia, formerly the Soviet Union, has discontinued the production of the field gun, but the People's Republic of China continues to produce its own variant, the Type 59-1.

Battlefield Vietnam[]

The M-46 is featured in Battlefield Vietnam. It is operated by the North Vietnamese Army and Viet Cong, but can be captured and used by American or South Vietnamese forces. It is manually fired by players, however they are fired the same way as any other vehicle, though it can be difficult to aim and fire these vehicles, as the shells are lobbed out and arc towards the target. It has a slow rate of fire, but does deal a high amount of contact and splash damage.

As it is an artillery piece, friendly players can spot enemy locations using Binoculars, after which the gunner can use alternate fire to enter a special interface, which can be used, after some practice, to accurately fire this gun.
