As many of you know, the CoD wiki recently had an acheivement system implemented by wikia. Now, I highly doubt we would ever get the chance, but if we do, does anyone want it to be put in place? If not, do we make a medal system, like the CoD wiki, or make our own acheivements, or do nothing at all? I say either a medal system, or our own acheiveables.... 404 Error File Not Found Please Try Again 21:15, August 2, 2010 (UTC)

I like our medal/ribbon thing and even our userboxes after the World Cup. We should work on these. The achievements are the same for every wiki, why not attract people by being unique, crafting and voting on our own achievements. I made a petition against the Achievements here http://battlefield.wikia.com/wiki/Forum:Petition_Against_Achievements CruzDude {Talk} {Contributions} AdministratorEditor's AwardUoTM 21:20, August 2, 2010 (UTC)

I say keep the edit count and do nothing. We can be different to other wikis, just look at the reception over on the CoD wiki! VandalAwardHeatedPeteTalk 21:21, August 2, 2010 (UTC)

Reception has gotten better now. They're actually not that bad. --Callofduty4 (Talk) 16:09, August 4, 2010 (UTC)

Well, I personally think it's a bad idea. It promotes edits, rather than contributions. There's a huge difference. I think our current system is sufficient. I'm about to sign your petition - Bondpedia (ContactContributions) Administrator and BureaucratVeteranUser of the Month: July 2010 21:24, August 2, 2010 (UTC)

Keep, or improve upoon what we already have. DoltenFile:1164610-433px usmc logo svg large.png Lets Talk 21:31, August 2, 2010 (UTC)

Point Handouts

Currently Wikia is only giving achievements to certain wikis at this stage. Generally, they are the top 10 gaming wikis on [www.wikia.com]. I don't think it would be wise to create a petition on something without at least a trial to see if it works well with the community. If it does, keep it. If it doesn't, we can have it removed. Simple as that. NZ Richtofen Doc. Richtofen 16:13, August 4, 2010 (UTC)

A large amount of people here are on the COD wiki so....CruzDude {Talk} {Contributions} AdministratorEditor's AwardUoTM 16:16, August 4, 2010 (UTC)
:But they are different wikis. A lot of people on the red Dead Wiki are on the Call of Duty Wiki, but the community is different, and so was the effect of the award system when implemented onto each wiki. This wiki is individual, and as others have said, isn't the Call of Duty Wiki. It would be wise to use a trial if the opportunity was to arise. NZ Richtofen Doc. Richtofen 16:50, August 4, 2010 (UTC)
IDK...our community response wasn't that supportive (more to the opposite) we should leave it up to the community if opportunity arises CruzDude {Talk} {Contributions} AdministratorEditor's AwardUoTM 17:05, August 4, 2010 (UTC)
Achivements do not belong on older wikis.
It's not like the Wikia Gaming team would even approach us to activate the achivements in the first place. F-22 Desert Raptor156th Tactical Fighter SquadronDEathgod65 - OMDF (Contact) VMFA-55F-35A RSAFSergantPeter Griffen BoyRadio Operator AwardRibbon
