So for a while I've been thinking about this. I think that we should instate a policy of decapitalization of article titles. Why? Because article names aren't titles. They're names, and I think (as somebody who views English as a speciality) they should be treated as such, per the grammatical rules involving proper naming and capitalization. Only proper nouns (names for instance) within an article's name as well as actual titles (eg the names of the various Battlefield games) would be capitalized as such. Юра 07:53, May 26, 2014 (UTC)

Before anybody asks, this is not total decapitalization. In fact, it's more like treating the names properly using English grammar rules. Юра 07:55, May 26, 2014 (UTC)
- Golf Cart would become Golf cart. "Cart" isn't a proper noun, and ergo shouldn't be capitalized unless it's the first word. On the other hand, a name like Battlefield: Bad Company 2 would remain unchanged because it's the title of a work. Articles themselves, however, are not works and ergo shouldn't be treated like them. - While that is proper english and many other wikis use it such as Wikipedia, Fallout, etc., does it look better to capitalize the title? On top of that, if something is captalized in-game, why decapitalize the page name? -- awyman13 (Talk/Work) 08:17, May 26, 2014 (UTC)
- Obviously the in-game name still trumps all else, but there are many examples of pages whose names would be decapitalized regardless, for instance M4 Carbine (which really should be called "M4" to match with the naming policy anyway, but that's a different story). Юра 08:38, May 26, 2014 (UTC)
If they're really names then go ahead. I can't get the idea that they should be capitalized like works despite them not being so, but if it's correct then I'm alright with it. PSKwhirled Talk Work
I agree on decapitalizing, I've been wanting to do this, like on "Projectile Mechanics" and other concepts. All except for if it is capitalized in-game. -- A2AContact 21:23, May 26, 2014 (UTC)
This is just my personal opinion, but I find that it just looks more correct to have "Golf cart" as "Golf Cart", even though it isn't proper English. Capt. Miller · talk 15:16, May 28, 2014 (UTC)
Vote
Since the discussion seems to have died down, let's move onto a vote. Essentially the amended policy would follow standard English grammar rules except where overridden by in-game names.
