Though DICE will most likely will implement the current kits we have now that was first introduced in BF 2142, our 4 kit Medic Assault, Engineer, Support And Recon, I would like to see some change in them. The kits were ridden with problems, Medic being the king of anti-infantry mowing down enemies and dishing out health, while engineer was basically the only anti-armor kit and while wielding his carbine, he still had plenty of firepower. Support was given the strange gadgets not suited to him such as explosives, the useless/camp mortar and the claymores. Recon, had potential to have teamwork atributes but much of his gadgets where not that mobile. The motion sensor (T-UGS) had to be deployed and inefficient unlike the motion sensor in BC2. The laser painter (SOFLAM) had to be deployed and the MAV required the player to sit out of combat while he controlled it. Also, the MAV was rarely used properly.

While BF4 is going to be released in 6 months, I would like to discuss my ideas for classes in BF4 multiplayer to allow for more strategies and teamwork.

Feel free to discuss any changes or additonal gadgets for kits.

All Kits

  • Have acess to frags
  • A side arm, pistol

Assault: Anti-Infantry

  • Same to BF2 minus smoke grenades

Medic: Provides health and revives while still in the frontline of the battlefield.

  • Same to BF2

Engineer: Repairs vehicles, provides defence against them.

  • Armed with a carbine or shotgun
  • Repair tool, eod bot other gadget
  • AT mine, other gadget
  • Given a HE grenade instead of a Frag?

Anti-Armor: Offensive anti-armor, engages in CQC.

  • Armed with PDW/SMG or shotgun
  • Has a RPG, Recoil-less rifle/gun OR SAM (with the naval warfare, we could see new launchers and applications for them)

Support: Provides suppressive and heavy sustained fire. Replenishes ammunition.

  • LMG or MMG
  • Ammo

Scout: Provides Medium-Long Range marksman support. Spots infantry and vehicles.

  • DMR/Semi-auto sniper or SMG/PDW
  • C4 explosives, claymores, painting binoculars similar to the cut BF2 simrad/LP7, mortar strike?

Recon: Provides Long-Extreme Range sniper support. Spots infanty and vehicles.

  • Bolt-action sniper, maybe a SASR? (we could even have a single shot .50), SMG/PDW
  • Simrad/LP7 explained above, throwable motion sensor, deployable motion sensor with a larger sensor radius, SOFLAM similar to BF3, zoomable spotting binoculars.
