Hardline Battlefield 2042

"Compact, lightweight, and reliable Austrian pistol."

— In-game description

The G57 is a weapon featured in Battlefield 2042. It is the default sidearm available to players and a reliable one when used in its normal single shot form, with a 5-6 shot to kill.

The weapon is semi-automatic in default. A major difference from past installments is the removal of the fully automatic mode, instead replacing it with a quick three-rounds burst, capable with competing with many primary weapons in close range where only two bursts are required to kill enemies.

The initial magazine of 18 rounds is capable of downing up to 3 enemies in one magazine. Paired with a relatively quick reload for a sidearm, this makes the G57 deadly in close quarters. 28 rounds extended magazines and 36 rounds drum magazines can work well when in tight situations. It should be noticed that the drum magazine has only 1 spare in reserve and it is easy to out of ammo.

  • Despite being described as an "Austrian pistol", the G57 has a "Gunther" mark on the right side of the grip, which can also be seen on PF51, and it was indicates as a manufacturer from Germany on the latter.
  • Carbon Series weapon skin was originally called Carbon Precision. This was changed in Update 1 (Season 1).
