The FN EGLM is an underslung 40mm grenade launcher module designed by Belgian arms manufacturers Fabrique Nationale d'Herstal (FN Herstal) in 2001. The GL-1 is the version of the EGLM fitted specifically for the FN F2000 while a modified GL-1 known as the Mk 13 Mod 0 is fitted for the FN SCAR weapon series.

Battlefield 2[]

"This is an integrated 40mm grenade launcher, similar to systems such as the M203. It is a rear loaded under barrel unit that provides for ranged attacks to both infantry and soft targets."

— In-game description

The F2000 GL is a weapon featured in Battlefield 2, found attached to the F2000. Like the M203 and the other under-barrel mounted grenade launchers, it fires 40 mm grenades that are very effective against light and medium transport land vehicles.

Battlefield: Bad Company[]

BFBC GL1

The GL1 equipped in Battlefield: Bad Company

The GL-1 is a weapon featured in Battlefield: Bad Company and is attached to the F2000. Since all grenade launchers boast horrible damage against infantry and vehicles (excluding the Golf Cart), the main use of the GL1 is to destroy parts of the environment, since the game runs on the Frostbite Engine.

It can potentially kill an enemy, but it will require damage inflicted previously or a headshot for it to be a one shot kill. Against light vehicles, the GL1 can also be potentially useful, but only if the said vehicle has already been damaged.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2[]

The GL-1 is a weapon featured in Battlefield: Bad Company 2 as an under-barrel grenade launcher on the F2000 Assault. It acts exactly the same any other grenade launcher issued to the Assault, and only differs in appearance. Like the other grenade launchers, it can utilize the 40mm Grenade, 40mm Smoke or 40mm Shotgun rounds.

The Grenades are very useful at killing hostiles and light vehicles, and are also useful against buildings and cover. The 40mm smoke grenades are useful at shielding troop movements, while the 40mm shotgun rounds can be used against troops, and to a lesser extent doors, allowing the player to open doors without the need for using the knife, which can be drawn out and allows enemy soldiers to get the first shot off.

Battlefield 2042[]

BF1 Puzzle Piece This section is a stub. It is short and in need of fortification. Why not improve this section?

The Mk 13 is the permenant underbarrel grenade launcher attachment for the SFAR-M GL in Battlefield 2042.

It functions in a similar manner to the FB GP and GP-30 grenade launchers. It is capable of firing 40mm HE, 40mm AP, 40mm Smoke, and 40mm Incendiary rounds. Incendiary rounds are unlocked by achieving killing and destroying 90 enemies and vehicles with the SFAR-M GL.

Trivia[]

Battlefield 2[]

  • The GL1 is never referred to by name, either in the game files or in the killfeed. It is instead called "F2000 GL".
  • While animations for the other attached grenade launchers show the soldier adjusting the rifle to enable the launcher, the animation for the F2000 GL shows the soldier pulling out a new, identical rifle.
