Gatekeeper is a character featured in the Battlefield 4 campaign appearing on Suez. As the USS Valkyrie is entering the Suez Canal, Gatekeeper attempts to warn Garrison not to enter, as the PLA occupies the area, though his transmission breaks up due to interference. Despite Gatekeeper's warning, Garrison is forced to traverse into the canal since PLAN destroyers are closing in on their location.
At the end of the mission, if the player chooses to allow the Valkyrie to be destroyed by Chang's warship, Gatekeeper will radio Tombstone, stating that they have retaken control of the canal. If Chang's attack is not prevented, he then asks them if they have found any survivors in the wreckage of the Valkyrie, only for Irish to respond that they had not.
