The German Elite Forces are a playable Axis faction introduced with Battlefield 1942: Secret Weapons of WWII. They represent an unspecified elite unit of the Third Reich's Wehrmacht, taking cues from the real life Fallschirmjäger and Waffen-SS units.

Battlefield 1942

In Battlefield 1942: Secret Weapons of WWII, the German Elite Forces are a new playable faction. Compared to the Wehrmacht and Afrika Korps, the Elite Forces are issued more effective, varying and advanced weaponry and vehicles, as well as camouflaged uniforms. They fight against the Special Air Service and the United States Army.
