Hypothermia in humans is when a core body tempature drops below 35.0 °C or 95.0 °F. This is the result of body heat dissipating faster than it can absorb. Common symptoms include shivering. Severe hypothermia can ultimately lead to the stopping of the heart and death. Hypothermia has played a key role in wars due to battle that have been fought in cold environments.[1]
