The flag of the Insurgent Forces

Insurgent Forces are a fictional faction in Battlefield 2: Special Forces. They are Middle-Eastern insurgents, very similar to a modern, self-sufficient paramilitary group. They likely represent the Iraqi Insurgents & Taliban in modern day Afghanistan or similar groups. Insurgent weapons are largely based on advanced Russian military technology.

Battlefield 2: Special Forces

In Battlefield 2: Special Forces, Insurgent Forces fight the British Special Air Service for control of a decommissioned airport in Night Flight and defend the palace of an Insurgent commander in Warlord.

They appear on just two maps, the fewest for any faction.
