The J-10 in Battlefield 2 is the main fighter aircraft of the PLA and is one of the two fixed-wing aircraft operated by the PLA (J-10, Su-30). It's counterparts are the American F-18 Hornet , F-35B Lighting II, the MEC MiG-29 Fulcrum and the European Eurofighter Typhoon.
The J-10 is considered one of the best fighter jets in the game, as it is smaller compared to other fighters, and more agile as well. Like all fighters, its armament composes of 6 Air-to-Air missiles, 2 Un-guided Bombs, and a autocannon/chaingun. The J-10 has a disadvantage compared to U.S Fighters (F-35B, F-18), as it's cannon only has 300 rounds while the U.S Fighters have 600. However, the J-10 is considerably more agile than them.
It is not recommended to use the aircraft for bombing purposes, as its 2 bomb payload has a small area of effect. When used for bombing, it should only be used for small areas, or when destroying enemy installations. The J-10 is to be primarily used for taking out other fighters and helicopters, as its armament is designed for such task.
- The J-10 in Battlefield 2 has the serial numbers "81192". This is the same serial number that was on Lt. Cdr. Wang Wei's J-8 Fighter jet, which was the aircraft that collided with an American EPE3 surveillance aircraft during the Hainan island incident.
