The J-10 is considered one of the best fighter jets in the game, as it is smaller compared to other fighters, and more agile as well. Like all fighters, its armament composes of six heat-seeking air-to-air missiles, two unguided bombs, and a 23mm twin-barreled automatic cannon. The J-10 has a disadvantage compared to USMC fighters (F-35B, F-18), as its cannon only has 300 rounds while the USMC fighters have 600. However, the J-10 is considerably more agile than them.

It is not recommended to use the aircraft for bombing purposes, as its two bomb payload has a small area of effect. When used for bombing, it should only be used for small areas, or when destroying enemy installations. The J-10 is to be primarily used for taking out other fighters and helicopters, as its armament is designed for such task.

Trivia

  • The J-10 in Battlefield 2 has the serial numbers "81192". This is the same serial number that was on Lt. Cdr. Wang Wei's J-8 Fighter jet, which was the aircraft that collided with an American EPE3 surveillance aircraft during the Hainan island incident.
