JNG-90

The JNG-90 sniper rifle in real life

The JNG-90 is a Turkish bolt-action sniper rifle that uses the 7.62x51mm NATO cartridge. It is currently in use with the Azerbaijani and Turkish military.

Battlefield 3

"Easily identified by its massive muzzle break, the JNG-90 serves as the standard sniper rifle of the Turkish army. This modern rifle has integral rail systems and many other accessory options, making it adaptable to shifting situations. It provides the shooter great stopping power, as well as sub MOA accuracy. "

— Battlelog description

The JNG-90 makes its first appearance in Battlefield 3.

Multiplayer

The JNG-90 appears in the Close Quarters expansion. It made its first appearance to the public in the "Close Quarters Donya Fortress Gameplay Trailer." It is shown using a Bipod and unlocking a Ballistic Scope.

The rifle is one of the most versatile in game with top tier damage on par with the M98B, but with a larger magazine to boot. It can easily kill in a single shot to the torso in all but the most extreme of ranges. At medium distances the JNG can be deployed against multiple targets due to its 10+1 capacity, and dispatch them with less rapid but accurate shots without much trouble. At longer ranges, thanks to the reduced bullet drop, it can kill an uninjured enemy with either two shots to the body or one to the head. This is considered standard for most sniper rifles but the JNG-90 makes this considerably easier due to it's faster travelling round.

To obtain the JNG-90, players must complete the Bullet Point assignment. The requirements for this assignment are:

  • 50 kills with sniper rifles
  • Win 3 rounds of Conquest Domination
