The subject of this article, LAD Machine Gun, has been cut from the final version of a Battlefield game.

The LAD Machine Gun (Russian: пулемет ЛАД) is a Soviet protoype light machine gun. Although belt-fed and having a built-in bipod, it is chambered for the Tokarev pistol cartridge. The LAD machine gun was developed between 1942 and 1943. Only two prototypes were built and it was not accepted for service. Both prototypes are on display at the Military Historical Museum of Artillery, Engineers and Signal Corps in Saint Petersburg.

"An experimental Soviet light machine gun devised in an attempt to provide the firepower of an MMG in a more mobile form. It accomplishes this by firing the Tokarev pistol cartridge."

— In-game description

The LAD is a weapon that was to be introduced to Battlefield V in the cancelled 5v5 Gamemode. The weapon was to be available for the Gunner class. Its Linked Ammunition trait suggested it could fed from the ammo pool of the player's secondary weapon.
