A chilly wind whipped across the tundra as the northern lights danced across the sky.
Casper and Crawford huddled around a small module. The IR feed displayed the vast white cubes in a sea of black.
"There you are, you little fuckers." Crawford blew into his cold hands.
The feed went dead.
Casper checked the module. "Drone's down."
"Hostiles?"
Casper began to pack away his gear. "Only one way to find out."
"Good." Crawford grabbed his rifle. "I'm done waiting."
