18J IRL

The Harley Davidson 18-J in reality.

The Harley Davidson 18-J is an American motorcycle first manufactured in 1918.

Battlefield 1[]

This item has a Codex entry: MC 18J Sidecar

The MC 18J Sidecar is a light vehicle featured in Battlefield 1. It is the motorcycle of the Allied Powers, and is used by the British Empire, Kingdom of Italy, and French Republic. It can seat two players, a driver and a passenger in a sidecar who has access to their kit for self-defense. Identical to the Central Powers equivalent, the MC 3.5HP Sidecar, in terms of performance and passenger layout, the most notable difference between the two is that the 18J's sidecar has a raised seat back, which provides the passenger a nominal boost to small arms protection from the rear.

On most European maps, the vehicle has a green coloration. On Middle Eastern maps, the vehicle has a desert yellow coloration. On Soissons and Rupture, the vehicle has a blue coloration.

Trivia[]

  • Although of American design, none of the maps featuring the United States spawn motorcycles.
  • The tread pattern on the tires read "non-skid", corresponding to a real World War 1 era tire manufactured by Firestone.
