A Machete is a large cutting tool. It is generally used to cut through dense foliage or other environments. As it is a bladed weapon, it can be used as a Combat Knife, or as a makeshift surgical implement for amputation of limbs.
Battlefield Vietnam
The Machete is a weapon featured in Battlefield Vietnam and is issued as the melee weapon for all NVA kits. It is a redesigned Axis combat knife, featuring identical stats and files to the Axis knife, but having a different skin and animations.
It requires between one and four strikes to kill, depending where each attack hits. Its American and South Vietnamese equivalent is the Combat Knife, and the Viet Cong equivalent is the Plantation Knife.
