A Machete is a large cutting tool. It is generally used to cut through dense foliage or other environs. As it is a bladed weapon, it can be used as a makeshift weapon, or as a makeshift surgical implement for amputation of limbs.
Battlefield Vietnam
In Battlefield Vietnam, the Machete is issued as the melee weapon for all NVA kits. It is a redesigned Axis combat knife, featuring identical stats and files to the axis knife, but having a different skin and animations. It requires between one and four strikes to kill, depending on hit placement.
Its American and South Vietnamese equivalent is the Combat Knife, and the Viet Cong equivalent is the Plantation Knife.
