Battlefield 2042[]
In Battlefield 2042, the Melee Punch replaces the "quick knife" attack available to players since Battlefield: Bad Company.
Players may Melee Punch objects such as fences and windows that were formerly handled by the knife. (Players may still draw their equipped melee weapon by holding Melee Attack.) Players may also Melee Punch each other for quick close-range damage.
As of release, the Melee Punch no longer appears to be part of the user's kit, being replaced with the traditional knife attack used in a stabbing or slashing motion.
